What's an event?
It’s an event, initiative or activation that is designed and led by local organisations and community leaders to bring impactful climate action to Aucklanders this October.

A full month of climate action this October
From 1 - 31 October we’ll see more ambitious commitments, bolder actions and accelerated change from people and organisations of Tāmaki.

Each event on the programme is designed and led by locals and organisations across the region, helping more people do more for climate.
Create an event,

A plant-based dining experience, bike tour of the city’s greenest buildings or a workshop series for budding entrepreneurs. Create and curate a unique experience that connects people to the wide range of ways they can act for climate.
Activate your community
Bring people together to harness the collective genius, creativity and ambition to turn the knarly challenges into opportunities and push the envelope on what is possible.

As a parent, a colleague, a business owner, a friend. This is your chance to be a good ancestor and show that you believe in a good future for Tāmaki Makaurau.

Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei partnered with Para Kore Ki Tāmaki to host an online panel kōrero on how mātauranga Māori can guide us in restoring our taiao as well as growing healthier communities.

Make sure your event meets our festival criteria and is aligned with our 2022 theme and kaupapa.
Create an event page and secure your spot
Your page is how people find out about your event. Create an engaging event by adding a high quality photo and tailoring to those you’re inviting to take part.
Organise and host your event
As long as your event meets the criteria, you’re ready to organise and put on your event.

Do I have to be a climate change expert to host an event?
No you do not have to be a climate change expert. We welcome people of all ages, background and experience with a common unity in our vision for Tāmaki Makaurau. Learn more.
What are the key dates?
The festival is being held from 1-31 October. Registrations for event submissions are open from 16 May – 15 July. Learn more.
Is there a cost for being involved?
All event listings are free. As event hosts, you are responsible for all costs associated with organising your event or activation. Learn more.
