Te Mana o te Moana | Hauraki Gulf Marine Park Conference
It’s time again to gather in support of Tīkapa Moana / Te Moananui ā Toi, the Hauraki Gulf.
On the back of “Seasick: Saving the Hauraki Gulf”, MC, Mandy Kupenga, is passionate about protecting our oceans and will guide us through a program as vibrant as the Hauraki Gulf should be.
We’ll probe both local and international perspectives and hear from innovators and those leading positive change. EDS will lead an interactive session on future models for protecting our ocean; we’ll debate the importance of activism, government regulation, and take soundings from those who spend their days on and in the water. Collectively we’ll tautoko mana whenua and community leadership; press central and local governments to take further action and uphold the mana of the moana.
A rangatahi/youth programme will run concurrent with the main conference. There are also discounted student tickets available.
Tickets are $95 ADULT and $30 STUDENT. Bookings essential. Tickets available from Auckland Museum.
